El Puerto Azteca
This is a great little Mexican eatery in the back of a Mexican food market. The food is great - no tex-mex here! I love there tacos (corn tortilla with cilantro, lime and onions with your choice of meat) and I can't get enough of their steak burritos.

Fancy Q Sushi Bar & Grill
This is a very good sushi restaurant here on St Simons Island in Redfern Village. They have a good lunch specials that include a shared appetizer for the table, salad with a great ginger dressing, soup and entrée for under $10. Their sushi is very fresh. Ask for the "Special Roll' menu and everything on it is great. This Island restaurant can be a little loud at time. Call ahead because we did last night an there was an hour wait at 7:30.

Fins On the Beach
By far the best Ocean-view restaurant on the Georgia Coast. They have an outside patio dining are with about 12 tables with great views of the Atlantic Ocean. I had the hamburger with grilled onions, mushrooms and cheddar cheese. The fries were also very good. It was very good and cooked just right. The patio was packed but the service was very good and fast. Our waitress keep refilling our tea and cokes every ten minutes or so. Next time I make a visit to Jekyll Island, I will give their seafood a try. Had some very interesting salads dishes I would like to try.

Five Guys Burgers & Fries
The Five Guys Story Five Guys has been a Washington, DC area favorite since 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell offered sage advice to the four young Murrell brothers: "Start a business or go to college."The business route won and the Murrell family opened a carry-out burger joint in Arlington, Virginia. Under the guidance of Jerry and Janie, the Murrell family served only hand-formed burgers cooked to perfection on a grill along with fresh-cut fries cooked in pure peanut oil. The little burger joint quickly developed a cult-like following. Press paid attention. Customers voted the burger"#1" in the metro area. During the 1980's and 1990's the Murrell family perfected their simple system. Five Guys was The Place to get a fresh, juicy burger with all the toppings you could stuff between fresh-baked buns. A fifth brother was born and, as their family grew, so did their business. Four more restaurants with sit-down seating were added to accommodate the growing clientele. Early in 2003 Jerry and Janie, together with the five"guys" began offering franchise opportunities. In just under 18 months, Five Guys Enterprises sold options for over 300 units. The overwhelming success of franchising a local restaurant made national news with articles in trade publications such as Nation's Restaurant News, Restaurant Business Magazine, and the Franchise Times.

Frederica House Restaurant
The Frederica House restaurant is located in the mid north section of the Island on Frederica Road across the street from the First Sea Palms entrance. The Frederica house menu is sustained by their local seafood but is bolstered by their choice of steak, chicken and pasta dishes. Their Southern Style suppers are sought out island visitors and sought out by the in the know locals. The front porch serves as an entryway to the restaurant which was built with white cedar logs that remind you of driftwood. Their grilled and blackened seafood and hand carved steaks, chicken and pasta dishes are very popular. One of my favorites at The Frederica house is the shrimp and grits. They always have a special vegetable every night and mu favorite are the lima beans. Their chocolate peanut butter pie is also very good.

Grand Dining Room
The Jekyll Island Club Hotel Grand Dining Room continues to be the scene of social gatherings and gourmet experiences. Beautifully restored in the Victorian mode, the room is dominated by Ionic columns and gleaming white woodwork. Three handsome fireplaces, complete with intricately carved mantle pieces and marble surrounds, add warmth and cheer on a winter’s day. The lawns and the river can be seen through expansive windows, and the first blossoms of crepe myrtle and magnolia trees color the landscape in early spring. The glow of candlelight and piano music create an atmosphere of romance and anticipation of the gourmet meal to come. A cause to celebrate in Southern Georgia dining is the Grand Dining Room’s Sunday brunch, a culinary and visual delight. The last Sunday of most months boasts Sunday Dinner Dance with gourmet dining and ballroom dancing. The Jekyll Island Grand Dining Room, the hotel’s full service restaurant, offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and famous Sunday Brunch. The á-la carte menu features continental cuisine specializing in seafood, gourmet specials and authentic Southern fare. The Club pianist complements evening dining and Sunday Brunch. Grandy's Country Cupboard
At Grandy’s, we serve more than just food. We serve people. And we have been since our doors opened in 1972. We’re not just another burger joint, turning out mass-produced food at breakneck speed. Our food means something, both to us and to our loyal customers. More than 30 years ago, Grandy’s began with the understanding that there’s something about that Country Fried Steak your grandma used to make for Sunday dinner that makes each bite taste like home. And to this day, we strive to make sure that same feeling comes through with every meal we serve. Now, with more than 60 locations across the US we’re glad to share our passion for delicious, lick-your-fingers homestyle goodness with people who love real, no-nonsense comfort food. So why do people love Grandy’s? Maybe it’s because one morning you’ll wake up craving nothing more than one of our warm, sticky Sinnamon™ Rolls, or the day you remember that your grandma would always serve Grandy’s Dinner Rolls at Thanksgiving. Maybe your Dad used to bring you for Chicken Nuggets, mashed potatoes and peach cobbler after a good report card in school. Maybe you’re just in the mood for some good, old-fashioned fried okra. Whatever the reason, we pride ourselves on making the type of food that people truly love. And when you truly love the food you’re eating, it puts more than a smile on your face. It’s just plain good for your soul. - See more at: http://www.grandys.com/about-us.html#sthash.s6mA17o5.dpuf
